Engagement | Justine & Trav are getting married!

I have known Justine for a few years now. We worked together at a daycare and quickly became friends. She has always been the sweetest most friendly person you would ever meet....honestly!

Naturally I was excited when she asked me to take her engagement photos. I had never done an engagement session before and I actually found it to be really fun...not to mention I love ALL of their images!

These two are the cutest couple! I wish them the best on their journey into marriage and I hope that they stay this happy forever :)

(Travis....you got yourself a good one! )

rainy day family photos!

I have not had very good luck with the weather when it comes to my photo sessions and it was literally raining on us the day we took these. I would have LOVED some backlit photos and...well just more photos in general, but I am glad that we were able to make this work for the moment :) we have a redo in the works!

Most of you probably don't know it, but this is my *other* family....or my second family...however you want to put it. I have known them since I was in first grade. Yes, many moons ago lol! Crazy to think I used to see their family photos on the wall as a little girl and now I am the one taking them! AND I'm honored to do so!

rain or shine with the Aasen family!

It is not often that I get to photograph a new family so I was so excited when Amber messaged me to tell me they wanted to do a family session! Of course it would be my luck that on our day it was raining off and on. It was even raining on our way to the location which made me nervous, but they were ready to shoot and dash if need be so I was all for it!....luckily it did not rain on us and we were able to get all of these super cute photos :)

Personal | snap shots of me

It has been a long time since I made a post on this blog, so I decided it was time to clean it up with a fresh layout and start adding to it! The only posts I have ever made to this were the ones of when I first started to dip into photographing people other than my own children. (I am hoping you can see that I have evolved a little since then? lol)

ok, on to the point of this post.... when I began following other photographers I thought it was so weird to never know what they look like. You usually see a photographer's kids in many many photos, but because most of us rarely get in the frame there are few photos shared where we are the subject.

Here are a few shots of me and the ones I love dearest pulled from my big camera, my phone, and instagram.
